Woohoo! Grats guys on launching your first episode! ;) Very well done! Very professional! Impressed! :)

I love the handheld motion effect during the conversation, but it got a bit too much halfway through and I started feeling giddy, hee. So maybe can cut down on that a bit.

Or maybe it’s just me, since I haven’t slept in 60 hours. O_o

I think it’s really good for a first episode and can only get better as everything becomes more familiar!

    Hi

I thought this was a very good effort. For an independent project, this is quite a feat. The editing was reminiscent of local variety shows.

I think that there’s definitely room for improvement, and perhaps taking a leaf out of foreign variety programmes might help in making the show more comprehensive and insightful. (This pertains more to presentation of video and not scriptwriting).

The two hosts are definitely more than able to handle a show by themselves. I would be nice to have a variety of questions instead of focusing on relationships. For instance you could ask about her interests, her future plans in life, her favourite cuisine. What might also be interesting is if your guests brought you to their favourite food haunts.

When presenting the food haunts, providing a bit of direction as to how to get there (with words and maybe a map visual) will be helpful.

I thought that the descriptions of the food items came at sporadic moments with lots of banter in-between. What was good was that I saw a distinction as the show moved from one dish to the next. Perhaps making it more concise might do the trick in sustaining attention span.

On the whole, very very good effort. I’m impressed and am definitely interested in watching the next episode. I think that it would be good to showcase a myriad of cultural delicacies which go with the show’s theme of Sweets.

    Bravo! :)

Good points brought up from Michael.

Production value, content and host chemistry is high despite being a indie work. Clever to use a interesting introduction to pull the viewers into the show. Love that showdown thingy. The mango treats are awesome, the gossips are yummy!

great stuff. Like the natural and “dun try too hard” feel to the whole video. I guess it also help keeping audience glued with a good look dude and 2 pretty ladies!

Would prefer a shorter name like sweets instead of bloggers sweets.

    HI guys, well done..

*a point to note to self* Valerie is Hawtness.

    IMHO ok… 1cent worth…
Anyway back to the show.. i tink it is a good effort but try steering things towards the blogger opinion.. coz i tink u2 rep the blogosphere more than any other groups… coz if u do it liek any other variety show, it would be another ch8 or U effort…

Overall i tink it is very well done.. i liek the intro and the part with the eatery boss and of coz the Valerie part… hahahaaahhaha

For a personal project, this is very nicely done!

The theme song *coughs* so familiar, from *coughs* Garage…*coughs*.

Anyway, you might want to avoid the popping too much and come up with more substantial question for the shop owner! Or rather, the reaction.

    I am hooked to Sweets.sg now. :)
